Prielhof

Prielhof situated in Eppan/Berg just above the centre of St Michael, in Kreuzsteinstrasse 112.
History: Paul Hieronimus von Vintschger bought the farm from the wine family Prieler in the 16th century, only to give it to the church of Perdonig shortly afterwards. Since 1975 it has been in the hands of the Pruenster family who have renovated the building. The Prielhof is well known for its gallery in the cellar, where exhibitions regularly take place. Architectural style: in the 16th and 17th century typical features of the Überetsch style of architecture were added to the Middle Aged building. An entrance with cross vaults, square doors with stone frames, a late Gothic wooden ceiling, and several Baroque units from the time of restoration can be seen. Walking: you can walk past this building when walking through the lower part of Eppan/Berg.
