Mendel Funicular
The Mendel funicular railway is the longest and steepest in Europe and was built in 1903-1904.It takes just 12 minutes to cover a difference in altitude of 850 m with a gradient of 64%. An ideal way to get to the Mendel if you don’t want to drive around all the hairpin bends.
