A family´s passion for new discoveries

Since time immemorial, schnapps has been distilled in South Tyrol and the choice of spirits is enormous. Specialities are sought after - and one of them can be found at the small distillery St. Urban in Girlan | Eppan: a South Tyrolean Whisky.
October 14, 2019 is already a special day for the Leimgruber family. A day for which they have done a great deal of preparatory work and advanced good money. A day for which Erwin, Rosi and their son Felix have been waiting for three years to be allowed to taste and present their latest creation. Three years and two barrels turned the grain brandy into the St. Urban Single Malt.
There is much to discover at the St. Urban distillery in Girlan | Eppan. And with their latest creation they show that they don't want to rest on their laurels and always want to discover something new.
In the new EppanMagazin you can learn more about the special nature of Whisky from South Tyrol. What do you have to bear in mind during storage and what special features did master distiller Erwin Leimgruber decide on?
