The Bavarian State Youth Orchestra in Eppan

In its over 40-year history, the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra has presented the giants of classical music with sensational success in German concert halls and repeatedly spent its summer "working phase" in Eppan - as it did this year.

KulturKonakt Eppan has brought the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra back to Eppan this year. 2 concerts were held, on August 1st in chamber music occupation of the teachers at Freudenstein Castle and on August 2nd in the Kultursaal of St. Michael Eppan. The high status of the youth orchestra in the music world is proven by the fact that no less a person than the German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was present in Eppan as guest of honour.

One day before the performances there was an entertaining serenade at the Rathausplatz in St. Michael-Eppan by the Landesjugendorchester as part of the Long Wednesday.
