Eppaner High Tour

St Michael | Eppan

Position:
The Eppaner High Tour goes around St Michael | Eppan.
 
Hiking-Tour:
1. - 0 km: start by guesthouse Steinegger and along path 7 towards Matschatsch. Stay on the forest path until the barrier. 
 
2. - 2.6 km go up the Mendel Road for about 600 m starting opposite guesthouse Matschatsch until you reach the Matschatsch forest path on the right and turn off here. 
 
3. – 3.9 km at the fork take the right turning in order to turn onto path 9 after 20 m on the left. At the crossing with path 540 go straight on upwards towards Buchwald. 
 
4. – 5.0 km turn left off this path to get to the upper forest path and then follow this uphill to the right. When the path forks, keep to the path that descends. 
 
5. – 7.3 km at the crossing Perdonig/Gantkofel follow path 9. At 8.1 km take the wide path 9/536. 6. – 9.7 km all experts can take the path to guesthouse Pichler that goes off here, otherwise it is better to carry straight on. The
path gets narrower and then after 300 m wider again. 
 
7. – 10.8 km follow the forest path downhill until you get to a crossroads and turn left into path 10 towards Perdonig. 
 
8 – 13.5 km at the barrier take the tarmac road downhill and then turn into path 10 towards Buchwald after 800 m. 
 
9. – 15.7 km go up the tarmac for 200 m then turn right into the Aichner forest path to guesthouse Buchwald. 
 
10. – 20.6 km pass the guesthouse and after 50 m turn left into path 536 towards St Pauls (very steep). Leave this path at the second crossroads with a tarmac road and go right at the barrier onto path 8b to get back to the
starting point at guesthouse Steinegger.
