For more than half a century, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento has been shaping the musical landscape at home. Founded in 1960, the orchestra has developed into the musical flagship of the region. The repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary classical music. The Haydn Orchestra is a welcome guest on international stages: tours have taken it to Bregenz, Salzburg, Vienna, Japan and the USA, among others, and Arvo Volmer has been the principal conductor since 2015. The orchestra also receives artistic impulses from its renowned guest conductors, including Claudio Abbado and Riccardo Muti. The artistic director since 2013 has been the Florentine Daniele Spini.
