The Julian Kainrath Trio

Fascinating young virtuosity

KulturKontakt Eppan

He was already a guest at KulturKontakt Eppan a few years ago. Now the outstanding South Tyrolean violinist Julian Kainrath is returning for the second time. This time with a trio he formed only last year.

All three musicians have already been successful at major competitions. The 22-year-old cellist Petar Pejcic comes from Belgrade, the pianist Dmytro Semykras, who is only one year older, was born in Kiev. In other words, a trio that is both regional and European at the same time.

The now 19-year-old Kainrath began his violin studies at the age of six. He is currently attending the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class of Prof. Boris Kuschnir. Thanks to a scholarship from the International Music Academy Liechtenstein, Julian Kainrath takes part in the intensive music weeks and activities that take place there. Despite his young age, Julian has already made numerous public appearances. He mastered his first performance as a soloist with orchestra at the age of ten in Bolivia, South America.

The Julian Kainrath Trio's program includes the Trio No. 1 in D minor by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and the Piano Trio in A minor "À la mémoire d'un grand artiste" by Piotr I. Tchaikovsky. A challenging program that is perfect for youthful zest for action.
