Sustainability Strategy Eppan

As the Eppan Tourist Association, we take responsibility for the future of our destination. Our commitment is dedicated to preserving the unique cultural landscape, natural resources, and the quality of life for all people in our region. We understand sustainability as a duty to our homeland, its residents, and its guests. We see ourselves as a bridge between the needs of the local population, the interests of tourism businesses and guests, and the strategic goals of the municipal administration – and at the same time as active shapers of a sustainable and balanced development. Our goal is a form of tourism that harmonizes ecological, social, and economic aspects. To achieve this, we rely on measures such as energy-efficient management, climate-friendly mobility, and conscious use of resources.

This sustainability strategy was developed through a participatory process: the so-called Green Team – made up of representatives from tourism, the municipality, the economy, environmental protection, youth, commerce, and agriculture – was actively involved in its creation. This strategy does not mark an endpoint but the beginning of a continuous process. We are committed to this path with conviction and a willingness to take responsibility, shape change, and move forward with courage – for an Eppan that remains a great place to live in the future.
