Theater: "wild, wild man"

May 26 - June 5

in german language

Peter Wöth was a tall, strong man and also wealthy – he lacked for nothing. But he was also a heavy drinker, cold-blooded, and unpredictably aggressive.

As many know, a hill in the Montiggl Forest was named after Peter Wöth. But how this came about and the story behind it are known to very few.

A vineyard shines in green

Friday, June 5 | from 9 pm

This year, “Eppan Wine” celebrates the treasures of the vineyard, focusing on the vineyard itself and the treasures that ripen in it. On Friday, June 13, a vineyard in South Tyrol will shine in green light for the first time. The color green symbolizes the white wines, which account for around 70% of vinification in Eppan. As soon as darkness falls, a vineyard under the Gleifkirche church will glow in lush green. The lighting is powered by electricity from a photovoltaic system, consuming around 15 kW. This makes the event sustainable and environmentally friendly. The four-hour illumination is a one-off event and is also animal-friendly thanks to the green light.

Last load of Grapes

Saturday, October 10 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Just like in grandpa's day, the last load of grapes is brought to the village center in a vat pulled by an old, festively decorated cart. The cart is adorned with a harvest wreath, on which a wine-related saying is inscribed each year. Upon arriving at the Tannerhof farm, the grapes are pressed in a historic wine press, and the fresh grape must is offered to visitors for tasting. All this takes place under the watchful eye of the Saltner (winegrowers). The festivities include wines from Girlan's vintners, traditional Törggele specialties, and music.

No registration required.
