Eppan easily and comfortably reached
Whether by train, bus, car or plane to the surrounding airports: many roads lead to Eppan on the Wine Road in the south of South Tyrol.
From June 4, both lanes of the Lueg Bridge will be open again in both directions - and will remain so until October 5. Both southbound lanes are already open.

Relaxed on the train to South Tyrol
Train travel means getting on and leaning back, reading a book, having time for yourself and enjoying the scenery.
Located in the heart of Europe, South Tyrol is easy to reach with the trains of the Austrian Federal Railways, the Swiss Federal Railways and the German Railways. Or you can travel relaxed overnight from Hamburg and Düsseldorf on the Urlaubs-Express to South Tyrol and start your vacation well-rested.

Once you arrive in South Tyrol, travelers on DB/ÖBB trains can use public transport with the connecting ticket South Tyrol to get to their accommodation on the day of arrival or to the train station on the day of return.
Various transfer providers in South Tyrol also offer a comfortable way to get to your vacation home, connecting almost all accommodation establishments with the main, nearest South Tyrolean train stations.
The Intercity night train from Rome, which runs to Bolzano on Fridays and Saturdays, will be extended to the Brenner Pass from December 21, 2024 to April 20, 2025 and from June 20 to September 28, 2025. In South Tyrol, it will also stop in Ora, Bolzano, Waidbruck, Chiusa, Bressanone, Fortezza, Vipiteno and Brennero. Due to the closure of the Pustertal Valley Railway, it is not possible to continue to Innichen.

Easy by bus to South Tyrol
Comfortable coaches often take you to your vacation destination without having to change. So your vacation starts on the way there.
The Meraner Land Express takes you from Munich to the Meraner Land vacation region every Wednesday and Saturday from mid-March to the beginning of November. The buses depart from the central bus station (ZOB) in Munich. The price also includes the shuttle service to and from your vacation accommodation.
With the South Tyrol Express from Switzerland
From St. Gallen via Winterthur and Zurich, the Südtirol Express takes South Tyrol travelers every Saturday from the beginning of April to the end of October via the Vinschgau Valley, Meran and the surrounding area to Eppan & Kaltern. The transfer to the accommodation and back is included in the offer.
In South Tyrol, the Flixbus stops in Bolzano, Bressanone, Chiusa, Vipiteno as well as in Merano, Lana and Marlengo.
The long-distance bus offers bus connections from all European countries all year round. Flixbus travels to South Tyrol several times a day via the transport hubs of Munich and Innsbruck.

By car to South Tyrol
If you are traveling from the north via the Brenner freeway to South Tyrol, you will need a vignette for the section in Austria. You can conveniently purchase the digital vignette online in advance.
To cross the Brenner Pass quickly, it is advisable to pay the route toll online in advance: This allows you to pass the toll station preferentially through specially marked barriers.
The Italian highways are subject to tolls. You can purchase a Telepass from the private provider Tolltickets and thus avoid waiting times at toll stations. You can have the Telepass sent to you by post or collect it from a pick-up station.

Travel by plane to South Tyrol
Verona and Venice in the south and Innsbruck in the north are South Tyrol's closest airports. Other airports in the area are: Munich, Treviso, Bergamo, Bologna and Milan. South Tyrol's airport is in Bolzano. Sky Alps offers regular scheduled flights from Brussels, Copenhagen, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, London, Düsseldorf or back to Bolzano.
The SASA city lines 10A and 10B run at regular intervals between Bolzano airport and the city center, as well as the Bolzano train station.
There are cab ranks directly in front of Bolzano train station and at the airport terminal. The transfer from the train station to the airport takes around 15 minutes.
