Information Session

Bee and Honey

in german language

This event is organized in collaboration with the St. Michael/Eppan Central Library and will take place on October 16 at 7:30 PM at the St. Michael Central Library.

It is open to everyone—young and old alike—and aims to introduce local, high-quality Eppan honey to residents, tourism professionals, and visitors. The speaker is Klaus Blasbichler, a long-time beekeeper and instructor at Laimburg.

Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to taste various types of honey from the Eppan area.

Key topics of the information session:

  • The life cycle of the bee throughout the year
  • The beekeeper's role in caring for the bees
  • How honey is created and produced by bees
  • What distinguishes local honey from industrial honey
  • The different varieties of honey available
  • Proper storage and shelf life of honey, and much more.

The Eppan Beekeepers' Association and the St. Michael/Eppan Central Library look forward to welcoming you.
