Martini Concert
The Girlan Education Committee cordially invites you all to the St. Martin’s Day celebratory concert.
This year’s performers are oboist Thomas Meraner, originally from Girlan, and Hungarian harpsichordist Margit Kovács. Thomas Meraner currently teaches historical oboe at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart and performs with renowned ensembles such as the Basel Chamber Orchestra, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, the J.S. Bach Foundation St. Gallen, Il Giardino Armonico, Bach Collegium Japan, Concerto Copenhagen, and many others. Margit Kovács, a native of Hungary, studied harpsichord and fortepiano in Munich. Since 2020, she has been a faculty member at the University of Protestant Church Music in Bayreuth, where she teaches harpsichord and basso continuo.
