St. Martin's Parade

This year’s St. Martin’s procession in St. Michael will take place on Tuesday, November 10.

St. Martin’s processions are also being organized in the other districts; details will be provided by the respective organizers.

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a short devotional service at the parish church of St. Michael, dedicated to St. Martin and his message of compassion and sharing. Afterward, at approximately 5:20 p.m., the lantern procession will set off from the parish church. The route leads along Fahndlweg and St.-Anna-Weg, continuing via Innerhoferstraße to the town hall square (Rathausplatz), where the event will conclude. The procession will be accompanied by the “Sepp Kerschbaumer” riflemen’s company—who will also provide warm drinks—as well as members of the St. Michael Volunteer Fire Department and young musicians from the St. Michael music band. Riders on horseback will also contribute to the atmospheric setting of the event.
