Theater at the Winery:

“The Miracle Exercise”

Look forward to a delightful comedy about couples therapy—a very special co-production by the theater groups of Völlan and Kaltern, in collaboration with the Volksbühne Lana.

It was once love at first sight in the warm, clear waters of the Red Sea—a state of perfect harmony and deep trust. But many years of marriage later, Joana (Martina Kompatscher) and Valentin (Günther Steier) do nothing but snipe at each other. As a last-ditch effort to save their relationship from collapse, they turn to a couples therapist (Arnold Zöschg).

However, the therapist’s task proves difficult: Joana always knows exactly what her husband is about to say—so why even let him get a word in? To make matters worse, it soon appears that the therapist himself might be in some trouble. Based on the bestselling book by Daniel Glattauer and directed by Günther Steier, this play—filled with sharp, witty dialogue and surprising twists—offers plenty of moments to chuckle and recognize familiar relationship dynamics.

A shuttle service is available from the large parking lot/bus stop in St. Pauls | Eppan.
