The Olympic Torch Relay in Eppan

The journey of the Olympic flame for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics was more than just a sporting tradition—it was an exciting adventure that heralded the arrival of the Games in our country.

A special highlight took place on January 29, when the torch made its ceremonial passage through Eppan around noon. All residents of Eppan were cordially invited to experience this unique event together and be part of a historic moment. Numerous people came to St. Michael on January 29, accompanied the Olympic flame on its way through the community, and together showed the enthusiasm, solidarity, and hospitality of our region. On this day, Eppan shone in the spirit of Olympic values.

Schedule and route of the torch relay in Eppan:

Start: The relay began at 12:10 p.m. on Boznerstraße (Bauhof) with the torchbearers.
Route: The route led past the Tetter parking lot, through Johann-Georg-Plazer Straße, across Rathausplatz St. Michael to Bahnhofstraße, from where it finally continued on to Kaltern.
