A vineyard shines in green

This year, “Eppan Wine” celebrates the treasures of the vineyard, focusing on the vineyard itself and the treasures that ripen in it. For the Night of the Cellars on Friday, June 13, a vineyard in South Tyrol will shine in green light for the first time. The color green symbolizes the white wines, which account for around 70% of vinification in Eppan. As soon as darkness falls, a vineyard under the Gleif church will glow in lush green. The lighting is powered by electricity from a photovoltaic system, consuming around 15 kW. This makes the event sustainable and environmentally friendly. The four-hour illumination is a one-off event and is also animal-friendly thanks to the green light.
