Eppan Bike Mobility Day

On Saturday, September 20, the working group “Fahr Rad in Eppan,” together with the Municipality of Eppan and the Eppan Tourist Association, invites you to the “Eppan Bike Mobility Day.” The event takes place as part of the European Mobility Week, an annual initiative held from September 16 to 22 that focuses on climate-friendly and sustainable mobility.

 

Starting at 9:00 AM, everything at the Town Hall Square in St. Michael will revolve around bicycles. The day begins with a welcome from the organizers, followed at 9:05 AM by the traditional bicycle blessing by the parish priest. Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities a bicycle repair station for minor repairs, a cycling breakfast, an information booth from the cycling group, and creative contributions from Jump Kunstlab with Martin Hell.

 

A special highlight: a marked cycling route will lead from the Town Hall Square to the car-free Mendel Road. There, cyclists can take part in the 19th Car-Free Mendel Day. From 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, the 13 km stretch of road with 860 meters of elevation gain will be closed to motor traffic – a true paradise for those who want to experience the Mendel Pass without cars.The Eppan Bike Mobility Day is the perfect opportunity to experience sustainable mobility, try something new, and join together in sending a strong signal for environmentally friendly transportation.
