"Die Nervensäge"
Culture Hall St. Michael | Eppan
in german language
With Thomas Hochkofler, Karin Verdorfer, Lukas Lobis, and Georg Kaser, four audience favorites take to the stage and devote themselves to this fast-paced play with obvious enthusiasm. “The appeal lies in the tempo,” says Thomas Hochkofler, “when the punchlines are flying thick and fast, you can't rest for a second.”
Karin Verdorfer also emphasizes the subtle humor of the play: “There's a lot of humanity behind all the humor. That's what makes the story so timeless.” And Lukas Lobis sees the character of Pignon as more than just a pain in the neck: “He's not a villain. He's just lonely—and that makes him both tragic and incredibly funny.” Georg Kaser adds: “This encounter of extremes – ice-cold professionalism and boundless neediness – creates sparks.”
Director Chris Mair, who is already realizing the second tour of “Theater in Tschiro,” focuses on precision and rhythm: “This form of theater only works with absolute accuracy.”
“Die Nervensäge” is therefore more than a classic comedy of mistaken identity: it is about loneliness, friendship against one's will, and the desperate desire for closeness, packaged in fast-paced, brilliant entertainment.

A friend rarely comes alone
Multipurpose hall at St. Pauls Elementary School
in german language
Philipp is a writer—at least in theory. In practice, he can't get a single sentence down for his latest novel. He actually wants to finally read the beginning to his wife Evelyn. But that doesn't happen, because one of Evelyn's friends is constantly at the door, seeking comfort, understanding, and good advice because her romantic relationships have once again failed spectacularly. While Evelyn listens patiently and comforts them, Philipp unwittingly becomes a silent witness and involuntary advisor in ever-new love dramas. Instead of writing his novel, he finds himself in the middle of other people's intimate affairs and emotional upheavals. When the ladies' respective conquests show up, the chaos seems complete.

Nick Wilder and Christine Mayn delight audiences with a dramatic reading
in german language
The two actors—who have also been a couple in real life for 24 years—bring the fictional married couple Lore and Harry to life with playful ease. Between pointed dialogues, tongue-in-cheek jibes, and thoughtful moments, a humorous panorama of a partnership develops that, after four decades together, is as creaky as it is sparkling. Many listeners visibly smile as they see themselves on stage. Wilder, known as ship's doctor Dr. Sander on ZDF's “Traumschiff,” and Mayn, known from “Die Stadtklinik” and numerous ARD productions, among others, impress with both their subtle character portrayals and their authentic closeness to the audience.

A traditional cellar, a glass of fine Girlan wine, and a group of people who all seem to have something to hide: the Girlan murder mystery dinner Murder in the Cellar, written by Sigrid Mahlknecht Ebner, invites you to enjoy an evening full of suspense, humor, and surprising twists.
The play is performed by the Girlan Theater Association in collaboration with Weinwelt Girlan, which provides the perfect setting for the experience.
In the historic Vineum cellar, guests meet farmer Sepp, the proud owner of a beautiful farm with a cellar in Girlan, his daughter Marialuise, who is in love, the ambitious Klauber Pjotr, the loyal soul Nandl, and the business-minded Bolzano real estate agent Oberer. What begins as a cozy evening quickly develops into a mysterious crime—and suddenly everyone is under suspicion.
While delicious appetizers and traditional doughnuts are served, visitors are asked to solve the mystery: Who murdered Sepp, and what was the motive? A bottle of Girlaner wine will be raffled off among all correct investigators.
