For more than four decades, "DAS GROSSE LOS" has been a fixture of the pre-Christmas season in Eppan and Kaltern, long since becoming a cherished tradition. What began as a small-scale initiative has evolved into one of the most successful and well-known Christmas campaigns in the region. It embodies regional cohesion, economic vitality, and vibrant village communities—a project whose influence extends well beyond the borders of the Überetsch area.

The  pre-Christmas season in Überetsch is not only a time of anticipation and festive lights, but also a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses right on your doorstep. This year, your loyal patronage will be rewarded in a very special way! For every purchase of 20 euros or more made at participating local businesses starting November 9th, you will receive a personal prize-draw ticket. Simply fill it out with your contact details and drop it into the designated collection box on-site. Each ticket you submit gives you a fantastic chance to win one of 276 attractive prizes, with a total value exceeding 110,000 euros. Support our local shops, soak up the unique atmosphere in the Überetsch, and make this Christmas season a truly lucky one for yourself. Christmas train between Eppan and Kaltern

Once again this year, a special highlight awaits you: the Christmas train connects the two municipalities of Eppan and Kaltern, inviting you to enjoy a picturesque journey between the two towns.

 

The train runs on the following days:

  • Saturday, December 5 to Tuesday, December 8
  • Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13
  • Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20

 

Times:

9.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m., every half hour from Eppan to Kaltern
