St. Martin’s Market
As temperatures drop and the days grow shorter, a change of pace is most welcome. A perfect example of such a diversion during the dreary, grey days of November is the colourful St. Martin’s Market in Girlan, held annually on St. Martin’s Day. Once the market vendors have packed away their remaining autumnal delicacies, the celebrations move into the village’s countless wine cellars. It is truly astonishing to discover just how vast the “underground” world of Girlan really is.
